Kevin George

Kevin George is a Clinical Consultant, professionally trained in Person-Centred Therapy (Counselling). Specialising in group programmes, to develop emotional literacy. 

In his early professional career, Kevin was a Footballer at West Ham United FC and Charlton Athletic FC. He then set up The Vivo Team LTD, a company that provided curriculum support in schools. Outside of The Vivo Team, Kevin took on the following roles, Director of Active Citizenship and Enterprise, Counselling School Project Manager and Behaviour Therapist.

Kevin is a member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP), the Professional Footballer’s Association (PFA) and Association of Corporate Governance Practitioners (ACGP).

His 13 years of teaching, providing one to one and group therapy led to Kevin creating an emotional literacy program. Through his experience and his studies, he developed the belief that the world’s problems traced back to an interruption in emotional growth.

Kevin’s emotional literacy programs have been delivered in schools, prisons and Premier League football clubs nationally. 

Through his Soccology programs Kevin uses football to develop emotional literacy and mental health awareness. For Ghetto Frankenstein, he uses hip hop and street culture to develop emotional literacy and mental health awareness. Sport and the arts, are used to engage people from different demographics/with different interests, to improve emotional health.

Kevin has years of experience training teams and Senior Leadership staff, from schools to the Institute of Consultants on developing emotional literacy to carryout mindful leadership. 

Kevin is the Author of the Amazon number one best selling book Soccology. A book about the psycho-emotional elements of football. Featuring 45 professional footballers from around the world and across generations, a long with a Psychophysicist and a Senior Partner from KPMG. He has also written for international publications such as the British Council, Sky Sports and GQ, on all things mental health.

Kevin is an Ambassador and delivered diversity and equality programs for Show Racism the Red Card to schools nationally. He was also a member of Kick It Out’s Professional Player’s Guidance Group, speaking to players about their diversity & equality concerns and creating action plans to support their needs.

Kevin’s goal is to leave a legacy of raising the world’s emotional literacy levels, to improve health and happiness.
