Martine Wright MBE 7/7’s was the most injured survivor during the 2005 terrorist attacks on the London underground, yet considers herself a lucky woman with a whole new life of opportunities. Martine has a phenomenal story of transformation, from despair to determination and triumph.
After losing her legs in the Circle Line bombing during the 2005 London terrorist attacks, Martine Wright rebuilt her life with remarkable purpose. From skydiving, becoming a mother and wife to becoming the Captain of the British Paralympic sitting volleyball team and earning a pilot’s license, Martine epitomises overcoming adversity.
Representing Team GB at the London 2012 Paralympic Games, she has become a widely recognised television personality, covering events like the Paralympics and Invictus Games for the BBC and Channel 4, and serving as a roving reporter at the 2016 Rio Paralympics.
Her dedication has been honoured with the 2012 Sports Personality of the Year, recognition as one of the Inspirational Women of the Year by Zest Magazine, and as a Vitalise Woman of Achievement.
In June 2016, Martine was appointed MBE, and her bestselling book “Unbroken” won Autobiography of the Year at the 2018 Sports Book Awards.
With extensive experience, including speaking before audiences of over 10,000 at Wembley Arena and the O2, Martine expertly tailors her presentations to meet the unique needs of each client.
